The Cabrillo Way Marina improvement project is a continuation of the Port of Los Angeles’ “Bridge to Breakwater” master plan development to improve 7 miles of waterfront access. This project consisted of land and waterside improvements with 2,000 new parking spaces, 700 marina boat slips, dry boat storage, restrooms, restaurant pads for future development, and ¾ miles of waterfront walkway. Energy efficient lighting was designed and installed to light parking areas, roadways, landscape, and waterfront pathways, utilizing only (5) types of conventional lamps and (6) types of LEDs.
