Grand Park, with its majestic views extending from the Music Center to City Hall, provides Angelenos of all walks of life a place where they can come together to celebrate, reflect, and shape the future, in one central gathering place. Open spaces are available for casual sitting, leisurely strolling, and civic gatherings providing a place to come together in a welcoming urban oasis. The design for Grand Park was aimed to create an iconic park expressing the global multicultural diversity of Los Angeles. The design ties a four-block site together and creates a unified space through site, landscape, and integrated structural lighting. Pole lights along with multi adjustable luminaries were utilized upon the plazas, stairs, ramps, and walkways to provide adequate security lighting. Landscape lighting was used to highlight trees, gardens, and sculptures, along with graphic elements.
