EXPERIENCE |
Lindsey joined LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE in 2001 after working in freelance entertainment design. Before, during and after earning her degrees, she designed numerous theatrical plays and dance concerts, as well as assisted other designers with a variety of projects. Lindsey has worked at several theatre festivals, including the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts, California Musical Theatre, the Sacramento Music Circus, South Coast Repertory, and the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. Just prior to joining LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE, she was the assistant lighting designer for a technically demanding live stage show at Disney’s California Adventure. From her theatrical experiences, Lindsey brings artistic integrity, a strong collaborative sensibility, and an understanding of the complexities of fast-paced projects.
Since joining LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE, Lindsey has deftly applied her theatrical experience to hospitality, residential, extended care facility, and gaming design, as well as landscape lighting and master planning. Current projects include the Hard Rock Park theme park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Trump International Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas, Nevada; Vail Square Hotel & Condominium Resort in Vail, Colorado; WaterSound and RiverTown resort and residential communities in Florida; Vista Del Campo Student Apartments at UC Irvine; the Gallo Performing Arts Center in Modesto, California; and renovation and expansion projects for Marriott Hotels and Resorts in Phoenix, Arizona, Anaheim and Palm Desert, California, and several other locations. In addition, Lindsey is part of the team designing for The Cheesecake Factory restaurants, more than forty of which have been completed since 2003.
Some of Lindsey’s completed projects are the IDEC Pharmaceuticals World Headquarters in San Diego; Van Nuys City Hall Seismic Retrofit Renovations; the Geffen Playhouse renovation in Westwood, California; the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Florida; the Horseshoe Casino Renovations in Hammond, Indiana and Bossier, Louisiana; Skechers Times Square retail store in New York City; Water’s Edge Office Park in Playa Vista, California; and Blessed Junipero Serra Church in Lancaster, California.
