EXPERIENCE

Kyllene joined LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE in 1999 after graduating with an Architectural Engineering degree from the University of Kansas. While earning her degree, she worked as a lighting design assistant for three lighting design firms, including: Randy Burkett Lighting Design in St. Louis, MO; Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum’s Lighting Group in St. Louis, MO; and Lam Partners in Cambridge, MA. At these firms, Kyllene honed her skills while working on various types of projects, including historic, residential, commercial and airports. Kyllene has quickly made herself indispensable at LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE; she is now a Senior Project Manager and Designer on numerous projects in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Bahamas.

Kyllene has also guest lectured for undergraduate lighting courses at the Schools of Architecture and Engineering at the University of Kansas, University of Southern California and the School of Interior Design at California State Long Beach.

Since joining LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE, Kyllene’s experience has expanded to hospitality, retail, theatre and restaurant design, as well as medical centers, master planning and specialty application projects. Completed projects include the Master Plan for the City of Beverly Hills, Carrillo Hotel Santa Barbara, Four Seasons at Great Exuma Bay, FOX Sports Grill, Le Meridien Hotel at Beverly Hills, Purescapes, Marceline’s Confectionery, Pacific Theatres at the Grove, Marina Tower Condominiums, CarsDirect.com and ESPN Zone Restaurants in Las Vegas and Denver. Currently, Kyllene is designing such large-scale projects as the LAC+USC Medical Replacement Center, Anaheim GardenWalk, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Quinta do Lorde Resort and Marina in Portugal, the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge vacation club in Orlando, a custom residence in Beverly Hills, and the Master Plan for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is also working on numerous Cheesecake Fact ory Restaurants throughout the U.S.
